Would you say you are a better verbal or written communicator?

"I prefer verbal communication because I feel that with written communication, miscommunication can happen due to lack of tone, fluctuation, expression, and body language. I will try to have a face-to-face conversation whenever possible. However, I understand that due to the nature of BC Hydros' business, written communication may also be warranted for documentation purposes. I am happy to do both."

"I like to leverage both methods of communication when working. Sometimes, situations call for verbal communication, and other times, written and I like to stay cognizant of what works best in each situation. As a rule of thumb, I tend to practice verbal communication, with written follow-up or vice versa. In this role at BC Hydro as a Safety Manager, I think being strong in both will be beneficial."
