When do you best demonstrate yourself as a leader?

Being a leader is important, especially at BC Hydro. Even if you are not interviewing for a role in management or leadership, it's important to show leadership skills in your work and role. The goal is to identify how you take charge and how you would take charge in your role at BC Hydro. Perhaps you like to take charge of projects and tasks without being asked, or you are a Subject Matter Expert that your peers feel comfortable going to for assistance. If you are in a leadership role, outline how you like to lead. Specify what is important to you as a leader and how you treat your employees.

"I am often recognized as a leader in my everyday work. At my last company, I was a maintenance engineer, but I had been working in the industry for about 5 years at the time. I worked with my last company for 6 years and through that time became known as a Subject Matter Expert. Often, I would have coworkers and peers come to me with questions about how to do something and I would provide guidance."
