"Multi-cloud refers to the use of multiple cloud computing service providers when architecting a cloud environment. Organizations like Amazon may design multi-cloud IT infrastructures for several different reasons. One is to ensure the reliability of the IT infrastructure since it is unlikely the multiple cloud providers will lose service at the same time.
