When asked to compare or contrast two different items during an interview, the best way to respond is to select individual features of the items and then describe their characteristics relevant to the items you are comparing. Limit your answer to just a few of the features common to both items and which distinguish them from each other. All the interviewer seeks is to confirm that you understand both items. They will ask a follow-up question if they want more information.

"Some of the important differences between Blender Game Engine and Unity3D are that in Blender script is based on Python and logic bricks, whereas in Unity3D script is based on JavaScript and C#. Blender is limited to Windows, Linux, Mac, and web environments, but Unity allows you to make games for Windows, Mac, iOS, X-box, PS3, Wii, and other gaming consoles and platforms. Finally, BGE is open-sourced, but you have to pay a significant licensing fee to use Unity, especially the Pro version."
