When responding to this question, do not become frustrated that the interviewer is asking about the information they should already have. Take advantage of the opportunity to describe your training and experience in more detail. This is the one instance where you do not want to be brief and to the point. Spend some time elaborating on your experience to enhance the interviewer's perception of your qualifications. Also, be aware that everything you say will be used for subsequent questions. You can use this to guide the interviewer towards areas you are comfortable talking about.

"I have a great deal of experience and training in the development of complex video games. This started during college when I worked on several game development projects with my peers. One of our games was actually commercialized by one of the industry's leading game producers. After college, I was hired by the producer and continued my education as a junior staffer. As I gained experience, I purposely challenged myself to work on more complex projects. While this was difficult, it enabled me to develop the skills needed for this position. I hope to continue to learn while developing games for your company."
