However, I am familiar with the operations of both Google and Microsoft and would be comfortable managing those cloud environments. The key to optimizing applications within a cloud environment is knowing which applications will function best in the cloud, what security considerations there will be, and also how the cloud affects the application's performance. You can use techniques such as caching, replication, and others to both minimize the security threat and increase the application's performance."
