When examining a candidate's qualifications, interviewers seek proof that you have achieved goals similar to the ones they are interviewing you to accomplish. Therefore, when preparing for an interview, you should review your previous work and have three to four different stories of your past accomplishments similar to the work you will be doing for the company with which you are interviewing. When relating these stories, keep your answers brief and don't go into too much detail. Instead, focus on what you accomplished and how you did it. The interviewer will ask a follow-up question if they need more information or want to explore the topic in more detail.
