How to Answer: Tell me about yourself.
Advice and answer examples written specifically for an Orthopedic Physician Assistant job interview.
13. Tell me about yourself.
How to Answer
Many interviewers will start the interview with this question to ease into the conversation. The interviewer wants to get to know you and determine if you are the best candidate for the position. When you respond, the interviewer will see that you can communicate clearly and effectively, connect yourself with others, and have a professional presence. To structure your response, talk a little bit about your professional past, present, and future.

Answer Example
"I have been in the healthcare industry for the past ten years. I started as a medical assistant and worked for five years in that role. I decided I wanted a more challenging career and became an Orthopedic Physician Assistant five years ago. I have been working at Tahoe-Donner Orthopedics since becoming licensed. While I enjoy working there very much, there is no room for career growth or advancement, so that is why I have applied to your company. I like that you encourage professional growth and offer mentorship and volunteer programs."
