If you made it to the interview, you must have the minimum years of experience required for the position. The interviewer wants to hear how many years of experience you have in the healthcare field, not only how many years of experience you have as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant. Describe any other healthcare experience you have in different areas of healthcare, such as EMT, Medical Assistant, CNA, X-ray Technician, etc. Be sure to include volunteer experience as well.

"I started gaining experience in the healthcare field at 16 years old. I was involved in a volunteer program called Candy Stripers and spent three years with them. I would assist nurses, visit with patients, change beds, and take out the trash. I then went to school to become an emergency medical technician and spent six years working as an EMT. I have been working as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant for five years now, so I have a combined experience of 14 years in the healthcare field."
