I think I am better at the written component because it allows me to think about my thoughts in my mind before writing it. Verbal is more spontaneous.

I prefer verbal communication and even better if it's face to face. There's a lot more you can use in-person like body language/eye contact/tone that you can use to express yourself verbally than in written communication.
