The interviewer wants to see that you are able to be positively influenced by fellow co-workers and professionals. Show that you are open to assistance, and feedback, when needed. Your real life example can be kept simple! Perhaps a coworker helped you to multitask better during finals, when you were feeling overwhelmed. Maybe their teaching style inspired you. Or, perhaps they gave you great advice on how to handle a student with behavioural concerns.

There are many teachers that I worked with that showed a positive influence and I looked up to them. For example, some teachers arrive on the bell, and some arrive two hours early every single day. Those are the teachers that are prepared and care about students. I want to be one of them.

Rachelle's Feedback
Your aspirations are very clear, and the interviewer will be happy to hear that you want to be a teacher that goes the extra mile.

The one teacher that has influenced me the most has been my mentor teacher. She used to teach elementary and moved up to high school. I loved her teaching style and I took many notes and adapted a lot of what I learned from her into my own teaching style and classroom. I look up to her and continue to learn from her to this day.

Chad's Feedback
