Tell me about the last time you lead by example.
Regardless of whether you've held a formal leadership position, your interviewer is curious about the example you set for your teams and the strength of your character. As they state online, their ideal candidates are "leaders of leaders." Your interviewer is curious whether you are courageous, guided by your integrity, and your propensity to do the right thing at all times. And, again, they are also interested in learning more about your leadership style, and whether your approach and work ethic align with the types of leaders they aim to promote within their company.
"I was working on a shift with a leader who was covering for our usual shift supervisor. They weren't used to the tasks we routinely perform. They started off early on the shift, taking the work we had ahead for granted. Instead of taking advantage of the slow period to prepare for the end of the day, they spent too much time taking it easy, and later frantically played catch up. Their stress was visible, and as I played quarterback for the work that still needed to be done, I kept things light and merry. Then, when this supervisor, in their hurry, started to do something unsafe, I quietly called them out, took over, and suggested they take a smoke break to cool down and collect themselves. I reminded them that we've done this stuff a million times and that we got this. The end of the day went fine, and we all learned a lot about each other."

I feel that a positive team atmosphere is fostered through mutual respect and honesty. In my capacity as a team leader, I always try to be a person of integrity in everything that I do as I feel that great teamwork stems from being dependable and trustworthy.

Nice! To back up your claims, can you talk about a time when you showed great integrity? Think of an instance when you did what was right even though it was a hard decision. Including an example will make your answer much stronger.
