Tell me something about yourself that I wouldn't know from reading your resume.
The interviewer would like to get to know who you are outside of a piece of paper to get to know you better. This question is an opportunity to stand out as an applicant with a fun fact or personal trait that makes you memorable.
"I am an avid marathon runner and have traveled to 10 countries in the last eight years to compete in a variety of races. I am a competitive individual and enjoy keeping fit."
"I currently run a meetup group in our city for ultimate frisbee! I have met many new friends this way and always encourage my team to participate when they can. Healthy competition is great for team building, too."
You are certainly not obligated to discuss personal matters such as your kids or relationship status. Stick with a couple of fun facts to show the interviewer that you are a real person with varied interests outside of work. Focus on non-work-related skills or hobbies. For example, you might share that you enjoy beat-boxing or making origami swans. Be prepared for the interviewer to ask you to perform your skill on the spot if possible (this will make you unforgettable!)
Community answers are written by other candidates practicing this set. Reading how others frame the same question is one of the fastest ways to sharpen your own.

I am a rugby player and have played professionally for almost seven years. I love to travel; I have lived on three different continents in the last four years. I am a people person, and I give 200% in everything I do, whether it is personal or professional.
Rachelle's Feedback
This is a nice overview of your background, giving the interviewer good insight into your personal life and ethics. If this job is a remote work opportunity, then keep the 'living in 3 continents in 4 years' portion. However, if it's not a remote opportunity, just beware that this could be a red flag for the interviewer regarding tenure.
