In the healthcare industry, HIPAA rules the lay of the land when it comes to patient data privacy. Siemens Healthineers takes a serious approach to data privacy and expects that any employee handling personal data to keep it confidential. For this question, be sure to know the role that you are interviewing for and what part patient data may play in that role and be able to talk about the measure you would take in your role to ensure that privacy was maintained. As well, be sure to draw on any past experiences you have working with secure data and information.

"In my current role working in customer service for a banking institution, I have exposure to personal information and financial information for each customer that I work with. To ensure security, conversations are held in private and I take all required measures to ensure that I am speaking to the person that they say they are. On my end of things, I never leave my computer unlocked when walking away to allow another set of eyes to gain access to someone's personal information. In this role, I understand that I could be exposed to personal health data and I'd take this responsibility very seriously."

At my previous employment, data privacy was extremely important. I attended GDPR training and company standards were followed. I lock my computer screen before I leave my desk.

Stephanie's Feedback
This is an excellent start, but I suggest developing your response a little more to show the protocols that you learned during the GDPR training. What other security precautions do you take, other than locking your computer?
