While the purpose of this question may be up to interpretation once you hear it, the important thing that your interviewer is looking for is that you are seen as a trusted partner to those that you work closes with. This is the true value of the purpose statement of Siemens Healthineers. In your example, ensure that you point out a time where you partnered and helped either a colleague or a customer during a difficult time for them. Talk about what you did to ensure that you were there to help and explain why this was important to do for you and your organization.

"A few years ago in my days working as a Service Technician in the refrigeration industry, I was onsite at a customer's facility as they were experiencing some flooding in the back near my work. Upon arriving, I immediately began helping the crew move items out of the back and into a safer space and also disconnecting and shutting down any electrical equipment. Some in my shoes may have simply moved on and come back later, but I felt it was important to help a customer that was in a very stressful time. The 30 minutes I spent with them helping was very appreciated by the customer and they remain a great customer of our products and services to this day."

There was one time when my colleague was allocated a task to investigate an inquiry from our dealer. I have noticed my colleague was really struggling with this task because he didn't have the required knowledge. I offered him help if he can do some of my tasks easier for him to complete. He was very thankful for my help. Plus I provided a little training so he will know more about how to approach a similar task in the future.

Stephanie's Feedback
What a wonderful example! It sounds like you really stepped up to support a colleague in need. My only suggestion for making this response even more compelling is to add a closing sentence that indicates why this action was so important to you. For example: "When I realized my colleague was struggling, it was critical for me to step up and support him. I want to treat all of my co-workers the way that I'd like to be treated."
