Sharing what languages you speak will offer insights into the cultures and languages you gravitate towards. If you don't speak any language aside from your native language, it couldn't hurt to learn a few phrases in German, and familiarize yourself with a bit of that culture prior to going into the interview. Whether through cinema or history, exhibiting a genuine interest can go a long way here.
