Tell the interviewer that you do not have any experience in the industry; however, you look forward to making the transition and learning everything you can about customer service and hospitality.

If you have related work experience, give an overview of your background by sharing where you have worked, your job title, and how long you were employed. Add a sentence or two about your job duties. "While I was attending high school, I worked as a part-time host at Restaurant ABC. Once I graduated high school, I was able to take on a few more shifts and worked full time as a host and a busser over the summer. In total, I worked for the establishment for a year and a half. I am now looking for a position that allows for early morning shifts since I am returning to school and would like a schedule that works well with my college class times."
