"Luckily, I've consistently worked for managers who are excellent communicators -- they work in a really similar way to the way managers are described at Lidl. On my end, I always make sure to ask a lot of questions -- about the work itself, the status of the company and store success, as well as questions about my coworkers and managers lives and interests. I think the best communication comes through genuine relationships, and it's important to me to have camaraderie with the people I work with."

Great start! You express that kindness is the heart of good communication. The interviewer may appreciate if you elaborate a bit and provide other aspects of good communication. I included an example as food for thought.

"I think kindness is always the best policy -- in any situation, being kind will always do more good than harm. I think that putting loving, kind energy into the world and the workplace makes a huge difference in a customer's day and my coworkers' days as well! People feel respected and happy when they are on the receiving end of kind communication. In addition to kindness, I think giving people your undivided attention is essential to making people feel heard and to avoiding miscommunication."
