"I have a strong work ethic and always go the extra mile without being asked. At my previous job, we were transferring from a paper filing system to a computer system. It was confusing for most of the staff to understand because there had been very little training on the procedure. I had a little knowledge from some research I had done, so I spent time on my days off creating a training manual for the office. I presented the manual to my supervisor, who then asked me to head up a training program for all staff. I ended up being promoted shortly after."

When I was working in COVID ICU we started doing VV ECMO as an intervention for severe ARDS patients. The staff, including myself, had very little experience with ECMO but I was interested and wanted to be able to help these patients so I spent my off days learning as much as I could about it and also got a few of the nurses I was already close to interested as well and we tackled learning this new treatment head on and shared what we learned with the others. We went on to have pretty good outcomes compared to the national average (60% to 30% mortality).

Jaymie's Feedback
