In your opinion, what has been the biggest advancement in technology this past year?
Google is on a mission to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful to all people. To do this, Google has been and continues to be very innovative in the technologies that they put to market. To get an overall sense of your interest in the advancements of technology, your interviewer is proposing this question to you. Display to your interviewer that you have an invested interest in the technology industry by discussing your thoughts on recent advancements. "I think that the pandemic has really accelerated automation and digitization in many industries. I have personally felt that the expansion to 5G networks has certainly had a huge impact across the world. 5G has allowed people to access information from anywhere and at any time. This has greatly impacted both the business world and personal lives of many."
"I may be a bit biased because my current job has me working directly with it, but I think that the Internet of Behaviors (IoB) has taken great strides and will continue to change lives into the future. Using the IoB, businesses are now able to follow the behavior of customers and use that data to better market and sell. I could see this as very useful here at Google. Could you talk about anything that you are currently doing with the IoB?"

"Advances in Quantum computing made in the past year will change the foundation of computing in the future. They will direct and affect the cybersecurity landscape, particularly where cryptography and encryption are concerned. Cryptographic keys used today to secure data may be breakable by quantum computers in 10-20 years, so new algorithms - which are in the second round of the international selection process - need to be utilized asap."
