What statistical analysis tools do you have experience working with?
Your interviewer hopes to assess how knowledgeable and well-versed you are as a Data Analyst and how successful and resourceful you are in utilizing the tools available to your trade. As they state online, "Your performance will be assessed and recognised, and we will give you the opportunity to cultivate the right skills and competencies to do your job at your best." Show diversity within particular programs like SAS and SPSS and explain that you are very proficient in Microsoft Excel. On top of the programs, talk about your experience with programming and database languages like SQL and Python.
"In my current role, most of my analysis is handled in SAS. I've grown to appreciate the program's ability to manage large data sets and create predictive modelling in the financial field. From a past job, I have experience with SPSS and the SQL programming language to build robust databases. Of course, I have received expert-level training in Microsoft Excel and consider myself a master of the program."
