"I believe the purpose of a record label is to coordinate the production and manufacturing of a musical artist or band's work. A label will then lead efforts in marketing, promotion, and distribution. Copyright enforcement on behalf of the artists, their songs, and their videos is also a large part of a record label's job. Lastly, record labels and their scouts actively work on talent scouting and the development of new artists."

The primary purpose of a record label in my opinion is to source, develop the best artists and assist in producing the best bodies music-wise. Another huge purpose of labels is for large marketing campaigns and to even distribute music and videos and solidify proper placements for music and various content.

You have done well to outline some of the key functions of a record label, and your response indicates that you have a solid understanding of the role that labels play in the entertainment industry. I have offered a slight revision below, to clarify some of the wording.
Based on my knowledge and experience, the primary purpose of a record label is to source talented artists, develop the best of those artists, and assist in producing the artists' best music possible. Other significant functions of the record label include creating and implementing marketing campaigns, distributing music and videos, and securing proper placement for music through various platforms. A record label also works hard to protect copywritten material on behalf of the artists.
