Best Buy has a lot to offer its employees; however, this question is not the time to discuss salary or benefits. An answer like that will indicate that you are only interested in this job for the money. The interviewer hopes there is another, better reason that you specifically chose to apply for a job at Best Buy.

Best Buy is one of America's leading technology retailers. Research Best Buy if you haven't already, and identify one or two traits that appeal to you. You might choose to discuss Best Buy's commitment to protecting the environment, their focus on empowering their employees, or their exciting and rewarding work environment.

"I'm passionate about technology and love teaching others about my favorite tech. But I've worked for other tech companies, and the experience wasn't enjoyable. My coworkers were constantly competing with each other to get sales, and nobody seemed to be there because they liked the job. I saw on your website that you consider your company an exciting and rewarding place to work, and you encourage your employees to have fun. That's the kind of environment I want to work in. What's the point of being surrounded by cool tech if you can't have fun with it?"

"I've been working in retail for several years, and I enjoy the work. I'm energized by interacting with customers and have a knack for helping them find exactly what they're looking for -- it's very fulfilling to me. But I haven't found a company culture that aligns with what I'm looking for in a workplace, which is why I'm interested in working at Best Buy.
