QUESTION 9 OF 28

At BMW, our sales positions are fully commissioned based. Are you confident enough in your sales abilities to work on 100% commission?

This is an important question for the interviewer to ask. They know that if you do not make an adequate living selling their vehicles, you will likely get frustrated and quit. Talking about salary and compensation expectations can be uncomfortable, but it is necessary to talk between yourself and the hiring manager. Be positive and open about your sales abilities and your familiarity with commission sales.

"I have worked on 100% commission in my last two sales positions; however, that is not my preference for the first few months as I become comfortable in a new position. Currently, I am on a compensation guarantee of 4K/month or full commission, whichever is greater. I would be very interested in hearing about the compensation that BMW provides."

Anonymous Answer

Yes, I am confident in my sales abilities and would be comfortable working on a fully commissioned basis. I believe that my skills in sales, customer service, and relationship building would allow me to succeed in a commission-based role. I am motivated by the opportunity to earn a higher income based on my performance and believe that a commission-based structure would incentivize me to work harder and smarter to achieve my goals.
