"I have received training on working with the most common leadership styles in the sales industry: transformational leadership, transactional leadership, autocratic leadership, bureaucratic leadership, and democratic leadership. I also fully understand the important characteristics and personality traits that leaders in each style display. I have some personal experience training an autocratic leader very closely to promote teamwork within his department due to low morale. For this leader, it was important to personalize my approach by teaching him about his leadership style and what the pros and cons were. From there, my focus remained outward towards his team and their performance and how his approach could help impact that positively. Moving forward from our training, his team felt a positive uptick in their morale and production."

"Having worked with leaders all across my current organization, I came to realize that every leader works in and is motivated by their own unique set of circumstances. Because of this, I need to take a personalized approach to their training. I've worked with leaders that had a hard time delegating work and ruled with an iron fist more than most others. For these leaders, a direct approach from myself as the trainer was required and a focus on the importance of teamwork and recognition was important. I've also worked with leaders on the opposite end of that spectrum who approached leadership from a hands-off perspective and were more successful in the administrative side of their roles. With these leaders, I had success in approaching training with an emphasis on establishing standards and procedures for their department and promoting their involvement with their team. I think my versatility in working with every leadership style would be an advantage here at AlphaSights Ltd."

I've worked with different types of leaders at all levels, and in different departments. I've also directly managed leaders in businesses across the US and Canada. Everyone is different, and in my past experience, it has been part of my job to successfully navigate various leadership styles and personalities. My approach is to better understand individual motivations and to find the best way to communicate in order to efficiently achieve common goals. Moreover, I use my voice to ask questions and offer suggestions or solutions in order to better identify how I can be most useful. I believe in agile leadership and finding value in all styles. No one style will work in all situations or on all personalities. As a result, you must be able to adapt. I work to train my team to understand the pros and cons of all styles and to identify which situations benefit from which approach.
