QUESTION 28 OF 32
What are your salary expectations?
The best way to discuss your salary expectations is to use your current earnings as an example. The interviewer knows that employees who feel they are receiving a fair wage will likely be more productive. Be open, and honest. Transparency is the best choice when salary based questions arise.
"Currently, I earn a base salary of 25,000 per year plus a potential 20% annual bonus based on the retail sales I generate. Last year my earnings were 32,000, so I would prefer to make at least that amount, expecting to earn more over time as I advance through the company."
