The interviewer is attempting to get a read on whether you are a team player or are best-assigned tasks you can perform unsupervised. Talk to the interviewer about your ability to thrive in both areas. Be sure to avoid pigeonholing yourself into one particular scenario (i.e. I only like to work alone).
