What would you do if you were working a shift and you realize your CPR card had expired?

If an EMT is working with an expired CPR card, they could be violating their company's policy of maintaining up-to-date certifications and also violating the requirements to maintain their EMT certification. Every state and county is different; however, EMTs need to track when their certificates expire and are responsible for renewing. The interviewer wants to see if you would be honest in this situation or try to get recertified without your company knowing. Honesty is always the best policy, especially in a position of serving the public.
