What is your availability for this position?

Working as a Department Manager in retail or any industry may require some flexibility in your schedule. The interviewer wants to know the days and hours you are available to work. Be honest in your response, and don't be afraid to share the days or times where you can't be flexible as you don't want to commit to a schedule that will pose conflicts. For example, you may not be able to work early mornings if you have children and need to take them to school or if you have an evening class that doesn't allow you to be available certain nights of the week.
