"I don't have a specific example, but I believe extraordinary service starts the moment a customer walks into the store. I always greet customers with a smile, be attentive, and be ready to hear how I can assist with their needs. When we don't have what they need, I look for comparable alternatives to offer instead."

"In my current position at XYZ store, I had a customer come in that had an urgent need for a refrigerator. Their current one died, and to avoid being without a refrigerator and potentially throwing out food, they were looking for it to be replaced right away. I checked inventory to see what we had available in store and helped the customer select one that fit their needs and budget. Most of our appliances have to be scheduled days in advance for delivery. Still, I took the extra step of directly contacting the delivery manager to see if we could add the customer to the schedule. Thankfully we were able to, and the customer was pleased with the level of care that I showed in helping resolve their issue. I also sent a follow-up to thank the customer for their purchase and to let them know they could contact me directly if the purchase did not meet their expectations."
