This effect is why it is essential, as a business analyst, to understand that 'telling' and 'showing' are two very different things when it comes to proper communication with your clients and their teams. As business analysts, communication is an integral part of our work as we have to document every talk and maintain a strict minute meeting. We can also use different websites to track our progress, like Trello, Monday.com. We can also maintain a workbook to note all the essential points and be more empathetic in our conversation with the client.

Communication is one of those things that can make or break a project very easily. From the onset of every project I always make sure to clarify the importance of crafting communications plans that makes the clients feel like they are part of the endeavor. I like to start by classifying all my stakeholders in a power to interest matrix and creating groups based on that. With this in hand, I use Power Automate to automatically notify my clients upon the completion of major tasks MS planner. Those who have lower information necessity get updates when milestones are reached . While those such as the project sponsor and other relevant stakeholders they get updates upon the completion of features and sprints. This in turn elicits the much-needed feedback of the clients that come up with suggestions or comments that they initially didn't have.
