"I understand that shadowing experiences are highly valuable, and I have looked into experiencing a shadowing program this summer. I have a few friends with family members who work in the health care field and have started asking around to see if anyone could help facilitate a PA shadowing experience before I begin my PA education. I am hopeful that this experience will be available to me, and I will maintain persistence in asking my network. In the meantime, I started reaching out to a few PAs through LinkedIn and asking them for a brief informational interview. So far, I have had one constructive 30-minute conversation with a PA who is five years into their career.
