"I believe I could improve on some technical skills including Excel and Word. Currently I am at a beginner to intermediate level; however, I would be more comfortable at an advanced level. I have enrolled myself in an evening/weekend workshop for the next six weeks. We will see how stellar my skills are after that course!"

Your answer is strong because you talk about how you are actively working to change this weakness of yours. You recognize it and are trying to eliminate it by learning more. Nice! You might also want to counteract the weakness you mention here by stating that you did use computers successfully for many years as a medical coder. So you have skills there; you're just aware that they need to be continually updated so you're taking the necessary steps to stay up-to-date in this area!
