Frame yourself as determined, resourceful, able to think on your feet, and not easily discouraged. Share how you weigh success and what success means to you across all fronts; short-term goals, long-term goals, the big picture of meeting deadlines, overperforming, and what you learn along the way is the aim of the messaging in your example.

The interviewers will use this question to measure what you have to offer, how resourceful you are, and whether you exhibit 'outside-of-the-box' thinking. How innovative you are will inform them of your leadership potential and whether you display potential for growth within their company. They'll gauge your level of honesty in how you present your answers, studying your behavior to ascertain if you believe in what you are saying. To determine if you're exaggerating, they'll analyze verbal cues, including repeating a question before answering, speaking in sentence fragments, displaying a change in speech pattern, irregular speech, and rising and falling tone.
