"During my time in nursing school, blood shortages were a major issue, and I volunteered my time to gain experience working at a blood bank. Knowing that I was potentially providing a positive impact on many lives was a force that drove me to do this. I know that northern California has many great needs in the greater community, and I'd love to be a part of Sutter's efforts moving forward."

"Growing up in a poverty-stricken neighborhood, I was motivated to pursue a career in healthcare at a very young age. Sickness, disease, mental health, and addiction are all factors that seem to hit these areas hard, and a lack of access to care and programs for help is lacking big time. Knowing that Sutter Health has these issues on its radar and is taking action makes me excited to be a part of this organization. In my current role, I help provide community learning sessions on increasing health concerns like flu shots, the spread of STDs, and mental health awareness in our community."
