The interviewer asks this question to see that you have done your homework and know that the FBI is led by a Director appointed by the United States President and confirmed by the Senate. At this time of writing, the current Director is Christopher A. Wray. However, before your interview, you should search the internet to determine the current Director as this could change.

Focus on keeping your answer short and concise. There is no need to describe how long the current Director has been appointed or who the previous Director was. That is good information to know if the interviewer asks you; however, it does not apply to this question. The interviewer only wants to see that you know who the current Director is.
