This can best be demonstrated by a time a couple of years ago when I was asked to be a part of a cross-functional team on the development of a new product. The sales perspective was important to gain insight from the mindset of customers and help discuss costs that would impact them. Rather than standing back in initial meetings, I made sure to speak up and let the thoughts of my team and my customers be heard.
