As an eLearning Development Director on a college or university campus, you will be working in a very culturally diverse work environment. Students and staff will come from many different diverse backgrounds, and your interview will be looking to hear that you will be able to work in this environment effectively. If you have had direct experience working in a culturally diverse work atmosphere, talk about that experience. You may want to use a story that highlights how you could adapt to working with someone from a different background than you. Suppose you haven't had any direct experience working with people from a diverse range of cultures. In that case, you can give the interviewer confidence by mentioning examples of your ability to be fair and consistent, and sensitive. Be ready and willing to share any resources you use to continue to develop as an educator and ensure the content you use is culturally responsive.
