"I chose to pursue a career as a vascular technologist after volunteering in a hospital during my senior year of high school. I knew I wanted to work in healthcare, but I was not sure in what field. My guidance counselor recommended that I volunteer so I could be exposed to the different professions. I became fascinated with vascular technology because I have always been intrigued with how blood circulates in our bodies, so I naturally gravitated toward this profession."
