Where do you see yourself in five years?

The interviewer asks where you see yourself in five years to gain insight into your professional goals and your longevity with their company. If you do not plan on continuing your work with their company in the next five years, you may be overlooked as a candidate since it is expensive to hire and train new employees. If you plan to further your education and advance your career in the next five years, be sure you highlight how you plan on growing within their organization if they offer that opportunity.
