If a position requires travel, it will often be listed on the job announcement, so you may already know that requirement. The interviewer wants to hear that you are available to travel when needed. If you have other commitments such as a second job, school, or childcare to arrange, explain how you are open to travel with a bit of notice so you can notify your professor, rearrange your schedule at your other job, or line up someone to watch your child.
