I'm not the kind of person who likes to run for office, so I was excited when this position came up. I think the work of the union is essential to the needs of the teacher, but I like to work behind the scenes. I think education is incredibly important and I love teaching, but I also want to advance in my career. I see being a staff member in the union as the best way for me to advance. It also fits in with my values.
