In your opinion, which is the best software development language?

This question is a little tricky because it asks for your opinion and for you to identify a superlative (i.e., the BEST software development language). Rather than try to guess which answer the interviewer is looking for, you should be honest and forthright. Explain to the hiring manager what languages you are familiar with, which one you prefer to work with, and why. Make sure your answer can be substantiated with facts or anecdotes about how this helped you be an effective software development manager in your previous roles.

"While I work with many different software languages, including C, C, Python, and Ruby, I prefer JavaScript the most. This is because it is ubiquitous, easy to work with, and most of my team members are well versed in creating code within JavaScript. Although it has some limitations, including being single-threaded, there are vast libraries of code that my team and I can repurpose for virtually any software project we work on. Based on my research, I believe your software development team relies heavily on JavaScript as well. Is this correct?"
