Rehabilitation is an essential part of a rehabilitation counselor's job. You would most likely not be in this profession if you did not think a patient could rehabilitate. While some patients find it difficult to rehabilitate if they are not following the treatment plan, rehabilitation should be offered to anyone who needs it. Explain why you believe it is possible to rehabilitate and give an example of a patient who has improved with your help.

"I do think it is possible to rehabilitate, and I have seen first hand how rehabilitation counselors can help. Most of my patients have been rehabilitated when following the treatment plan. For instance, I recently had a young man with Aspergers Syndrome who could not communicate effectively and had trouble finding a job. My team and I helped him develop his social skills and were able to find him a job that fit his abilities. He is thriving in his work and has made new friends along the way."
