"There are several methods I use to analyze the level of user satisfaction for a product I am responsible for. Usage and sales that increase or decrease shortly after a launch are very telling. I monitor new user counts, returning user counts, and cancellations closely. If applicable, I also monitor time spent using my product, as this may indicate user satisfaction levels.
Additionally, I would work with internal support teams to assess any themes in user satisfaction related to the product. An increase or decrease in reports of bugs, training issues, or performance issues would also help me to assess the level of customer satisfaction.
Finally, I would research user satisfaction online. I would read blogs, forums, and articles to understand how users feel about the product. This information helps identify the features that users are the happiest with and changes they wish to see in the future. This research also helps provide context for the metrics I monitor internally."
