What is your preferred method of communication?

Provide examples to show the hiring manager that you are comfortable with both forms of communication. Explain why these skills are important.

"During my shift, my preferred method is verbal communication because I am on the floor assisting employees and speaking with customers. I carry a small notebook and jot down important details to include in the log notes for my coworkers who are either off or working later. For theft-related situations, I use an incident report that I re-read before submitting. I want to make sure it's detailed and has all the relevant information."
