How do you determine when to call authorities?
As a loss prevention officer, you will sometimes have to call the authorities. The hiring manager asks this question to determine
if you use good judgment when doing so.
This is a good opportunity to demonstrate that you have experience interacting with the police. Explain that you call the police as outlined in your procedural manual.
"In my current role, we are required to contact the authorities for situations that involve vandalism or theft of anything that has a value of 500 or more. Previously, our threshold was lower, but we realized we were able to handle those situations internally."
