The hiring partner wants to take time to understand you as a person to determine if you will fit into the firm's culture. They want a better understanding of the characteristics you show in personal relationships and how you translate those into working relationships. If you have researched the firm, you should know some of its core values, so you can explain how your values match the values of the firm.

"Many of my friends come to me when they need to work through new or difficult issues. I'm an excellent listener, and I think that allows them to talk through their situations. Past colleagues would probably say that I am highly organized. I believe that comes from my ability to listen. I can understand what is needed and then organize things so we accomplish what needs to get done."
