"I often look for opportunities to go over and above when it comes to customer service. One memorable time was when a senior woman was struggling to get her groceries into her car. I was on break but saw her through the window. I ran out and greeted her, asking if I could assist. She was so thankful that she ended up calling my manager that day to compliment my kindness."

"I once asked a customer if he found everything okay. He shared that he always purchases soy yogurt from our store for his daughter who is lactose intolerant, but noticed we didn't seem to carry it anymore. My line was long and I could have just apologized and continued ringing up his items, but instead, I called my supervisor to take my place at the register for a moment. I went back to the yogurt section and looked for another alternative replacement for the product but couldn't find anything. When I got back, I let my supervisor know and asked if she would be able to assist him with placing a special order. He was very thankful and I was glad we could meet his needs so that he would continue shopping at our store."
