How would you handle an upset customer during a flight?

"I have been a flight attendant for the last two years and have handled many upset customers during flights. The most recent example was a gentleman who kept putting his legs in the aisle. Other customers were getting upset, and so was he. He had a knee condition that made keeping his knee bent for three hours tough. To problem solve, I moved him to a seat near the front that allowed him more leg room to stretch out and kept him out of the aisle for the other customers."

"I have not worked as a flight attendant before; however, I have successfully handled a difficult customer. In my current role as a Client Services Associate, I have had to de-escalate a customer who was upset with the service he was provided. My first approach to the situation was to ask information-gathering questions to get down to the root of the problem and what had happened. Long story short, I was able to find the root of the problem and offer solutions that provided that customer with what he needed. He left happy."
